PRE-FILING TIN MATCHING

Check recipient names and TINs before filing.

For supported 1099 workflows, E-File Center helps you check a recipient’s name and taxpayer identification number combination against IRS records before submission—so you can address a possible mismatch earlier.

Learn about IRS TIN Matching

A match confirms only that the submitted name and TIN combination matches IRS records. It does not verify identity or guarantee that a filing will be accepted.

FILING RESPONSIBILITIES

E-File Center supports the filing workflow. You remain responsible for selecting the correct forms, providing accurate information, meeting deadlines, and authorizing submission.

Electronic filing threshold

Federal rules generally require electronic filing when a filer submits 10 or more aggregated information returns, unless a waiver or exemption applies.

Read the IRS guidance

Correct federal destination

W-2 wage reports follow the Social Security Administration path. Supported 1099 information returns follow the Internal Revenue Service path.

Review SSA employer guidance

Recipient delivery and consent

Providing recipient copies is a separate obligation. Electronic delivery may require affirmative recipient consent and other notices under applicable rules.

Review current IRS instructions

COMMON QUESTIONS

Clear answers before filing starts.

Find straightforward answers about account access, supported forms, filing destinations, and optional services.

Can I prepare and e-file the forms myself?

Yes. Create and manage your own workspace, add the required business and recipient information, review the forms, authorize submission, and track filing responses.

Is E-File Center part of Escochex Payroll?

E-File Center is a standalone e-filing product operated by Escochecks Inc. It is separate from Escochex Payroll, and an Escochex Payroll subscription is not required to use it.

Who can create an account?

Business owners and employers can file for their own organizations. Accountants and tax professionals can use a professional workspace to organize authorized client businesses and filing work.

Which forms can I work with?

Form W-2, Form 1099-NEC, and Form 1099-MISC are currently available. Other forms listed under Coming Soon cannot be prepared or filed until they launch.

Where are the forms filed?

W-2 filings follow the Social Security Administration filing path. Forms 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC follow the Internal Revenue Service filing path. State and local submission availability varies separately.

Do I have to import records from Escochex Payroll?

No. You can set up the business, recipients, and supported forms directly in E-File Center. Any available import or transfer option will appear inside the application.

Can I preview or print a form before filing?

Yes. The product includes validation, preview, and print actions so the filer can review the form before continuing.

Does E-File Center support TIN Matching?

Yes. For supported 1099 recipient records, E-File Center includes a pre-filing TIN Matching workflow that checks the submitted name and TIN combination against IRS records. A match does not verify identity or guarantee filing acceptance.

Can I see the status of each filing?

Yes. Filing registries and dashboard summaries keep drafts, ready-to-file records, submitted forms, and accepted filings visible.

Are state filing, recipient delivery, and corrections included?

Availability can vary by form, tax year, jurisdiction, and filing status. The filing workspace shows supported actions before submission so an unavailable option is not presented as included.
